Important Information About Your RGB Halo Kit Remote/Relay System
A remote/relay system is embedded within the controller and is designed to protect your vehicle's battery while providing convenient control of your LED lights.
⚠️ Key Points to Remember:
- The relay should normally stay in the "ON" position for regular use
- Only use the "OFF" function when parking your vehicle for extended periods (5+ days)
- The "OFF" setting helps prevent battery drain during long-term parking
Daily Operation
- Keep the relay switch remote in the "ON" position for normal daily use
- Use your app or remote control to operate the lights as needed
- No need to turn the relay off between regular daily drives
- please power the controller to straight to battery or 12v source (as the relay will reset to off every time the controller loses power and is re-powered if wired to a DRL / parking light wire.
Extended Parking (5+ Days)
- Switch the relay to "OFF" position before long-term parking
- This prevents any standby power draw from affecting your battery
- Remember to switch back to "ON" when you resume regular vehicle use
Note: If your lights aren't responding to the remote, first check if the relay is in the "ON" position before contacting support.
Welcome to RGBHALOKITS.COM installation guide for your Quad 4 Row LED Wheel Ring Kit | Flow Series! Before you begin the installation process on your vehicle, please test all components to ensure they are functioning properly. If your wheel lights kit has a Bluetooth controller, you must download the required app. The controllers are in the "OFF" mode by default, so you will need to connect to the app's controller to turn the controller and wheel lights on to ensure that everything is working properly.
After installing the wheel ring brackets and strips, connect the extension wire to the end of the strip that says DI on it (for Data In) and route it to the vehicle's engine bay. Be sure to leave some slack around the vehicle's control arms to ensure the extension wire has room to move while the vehicle is turning. Securely fasten the extension wire with zip ties to keep it in place. Please note that the longer extension wires are to be used on the wheel lights located on the rear wheels.
Next, connect the extension wire to one of the open connectors from the LED controller.
The LED controller requires a 12-volt power source in order to function. The red wire with the in-line fuse is the 12-volt positive wire. This can be tapped into your desired 12-volt fuse source on the vehicle or spliced into a 12-volt source of your choice. It can also be connected directly to the vehicle's battery.
The black wire is the ground wire. This can be connected or spliced to any ground wire or source on your vehicle, including the vehicle frame ground.
The blue wire is an optional connection that taps into your brake light signal wire. When the brakes are applied, the wheel lights automatically switch to red. When the brakes are inactive, the lights will switch to the previous color or pattern.
