Flow Series SmartSwitch™ Controller – Install Guide (With Turn Signal Integration)
For DRL / Accent Lighting, Bluetooth Control, & Turn Signal Sync
📦 What’s Included
SmartSwitch™ Controller Module
Red-labeled outputs (Passenger Side Group)
Green-labeled outputs (Driver Side Group)
Pre-labeled turn signal input wires (Red = Passenger, Green = Driver)
White Parking Light / DRL Mode Input Wire
Power + Ground leads
⚡ Before You Begin
Your SmartSwitch™ is split into two independent output groups:
Red Side = Passenger Side Outputs
Green Side = Driver Side Outputs
All lighting products on the same side of the vehicle must connect to the same side of the controller for proper DRL + turn signal operation.
🛠 Step-by-Step Installation
Step 1 — Connect Power and Ground
Connect the controller’s Power and Ground wires directly to:
Battery (recommended)
ORA clean 12V constant power source + chassis ground point
Ground can be connected to the battery or to any solid, rust-free vehicle chassis point.
Step 2 — Choose Your Operating Mode
SmartSwitch™ supports two modes:
🔋 BATTERY MODE (Always Available)
Lights can turn on/off through the app or remote anytime — even with the car off.
No DRL wire is needed in this mode.
💡 DRL MODE (Turns On Only When Vehicle Is On)
To enable DRL Mode:
Tap the WHITE Parking Light Input Wire to either:
Your vehicle’s parking light wire, OR
A fuse that has power only when the vehicle is ON
Make sure this wire:
Has 12V when the parking lights/vehicle are on
Has 0V when the parking lights are off
This acts as the “DRL ON” trigger.
Step 3 — Connect Turn Signal Inputs (Required for Blink Function)
Your controller includes two pre-labeled turn signal input wires:
RED Turn Signal Input → Passenger Side Turn Signal Hot
GREEN Turn Signal Input → Driver Side Turn Signal Hot
How to find the turn signal hot wire:
Turn on the blinker
Use a test light or multimeter
Look for the wire that flashes 12V ON → 0V OFF → 12V ON
Tap each controller turn signal input into its correct side.
This enables the SmartSwitch™ to interrupt DRL effects during turn signal use.
Step 4 — Connect Your Lighting Outputs
Your controller is divided into two output groups:
Red Outputs (Passenger Side)
Green Outputs (Driver Side)
All lighting on the passenger side → Red group
All lighting on the driver side → Green group
This includes DRL boards, halos, strips, badges, demon eyes (if applicable), etc.
✔ System Check
Before finalizing the install:
Connect power
Turn on the vehicle
Verify DRL Mode (if enabled)
Test left + right turn signals
Confirm each side independently blinks
Check Bluetooth/app functionality
🧰 Troubleshooting
🔸 DRL turns off completely when signaling
This usually means the parking light wire is not a true ON/OFF 12V trigger.
Try tapping a different parking light OR a fuse with ignition power only.
🔸 Turn signal doesn’t blink the lighting
Recheck that the correct side turn signal wire is tapped
Verify the wire actually blinks 12V
Make sure products are plugged into the correct side of the controller (red vs. green)
🔸 One side stays lit during signaling
This happens if products from both sides were plugged into the same colored output group.
Re-sort: Passenger side → Red, Driver side → Green.
