PART I REMOVE HEADLIGHTS

Disconnecting the Negative Battery Terminal

Before working on your vehicle, always begin by disconnecting the negative battery terminal. This step helps prevent accidental electrical shorts and ensures your safety while handling electrical components.

Remove the front bumper

1. Open your hood and remove these eleven (11) push tab clips.

2. Pry up in these four (4) spots to release the top of the grille. Pull the top of the grille forward.

3. While laying under the center of your front bumper, remove these three (3) plastic clips. Remove them by rotating each clip 90 degrees then pulling them down and out of each hole.

4. While laying under the side of your front bumper (where the fender liner meets the bumper), remove this one (1) plastic clip. Remove the clip by rotating it 90 degrees then pull it down and out of the hole. Repeat this on the other side of the bumper.

5. Remove one (1) 10mm bolt from the side of the bumper. Then remove two (2) plastic rivets below. To remove the plastic rivets, get a small flat or Philips head screwdriver and press the center pin in towards the front of the vehicle (this will require some force). Once the pin is free, simply pry under the head of the rivet to slide it out away from the bumper.

6. Pull back the fender liner and release the lower four (4) clips starting at the bottom and working your way up while gently pulling the fender flare away from the fender. To release the top clip, get an 8mm socket and reach behind the fender to slide it over the clip head. This should release the clip from the fender.

7. Pry the bumper away from the fender to release the locking clips. Then pull the bumper forward to release the bumper from the bottom of the headlight.

8. Repeat steps #5-7 on the other side of the vehicle. Then slide the bumper forward to reveal the back of the bumper
9. Disconnect the fog light by pulling these 2 tabs out and sliding the connector off. Repeat this on the other

Remove the Headlights

10. Remove these four (4) 10mm bolts and remove the plastic piece from under the headlight and set it to the side.

11. Pull the plastic cover up that is over the top of the headlight and remove this one (1) 10mm bolt from the top tab of the headlight. Then pull the tab up to release the locking mechanism and slide the headlight forward.

12. (IF YOU HAVE OEM HALOGEN HEADLIGHTS) Unplug these four (4) connectors from the back of the headlight. Set headlight to the side and repeat steps #10-12 on the other side of the vehicle.

12.a. (IF YOU HAVE OEM HID HEADLIGHTS) Unplug this connector from the back of the headlight. Set headlight to the side and repeat steps #10-12 on the other side of the vehicle.

13. Open the fuse box that is located behind the passenger side headlight. Remove fuse #F76 (10a). Locate the included DRL harness. plug in the fuse side into fuse position F76. Also locate the Positive Voltage harness, included in the box, and remove this 13mm nut to install the ring terminal end, then install the nut.

14. Run the shorter side of the DRL harness to the passenger side headlight area and the longer side to the driver side headlight area. Also run the Positive Voltage harness along with the DRL harness. Refer to the image below for harness routing.

15. Take your Multicolor XB passenger side headlight. If your bumper resembles the one shown below, flip the headlight over, remove the three (3) Phillips head screws, and detach the plastic assembly. Repeat the process for the other headlight.

16. Bring the Multicolor XB passenger side headlight to the vehicle. Plug in the DRL harness and Positive Voltage harness to the headlight wiring.

17. (IF YOU HAVE OEM HALOGEN HEADLIGHTS) Plug in the included halogen adaptor harness to the multi pin connector going to the headlight. Then plug in the four (4) connectors going to the vehicle.

17.a. (IF YOU HAVE OEM HID HEADLIGHTS) Plug in the multi pin connector, coming from the headlight, into the vehicle’s multi pin connector.

18. Before setting your headlight into place, locate this connector on the back of the Multicolor XB headlight. Select what kind of a turn signal you want. With this connector plugged in you will have a sequential (scrolling) turn signal. If you want a solid turn signal then simply leave this connector disconnected.

20. Repeat step # 16-18 on the other side of the vehicle.
19. Place the headlight in its place on the vehicle and thread in the bolts.
21. Turn the vehicle on and test all of the functions to make sure everything works.
22. Reassemble the vehicle in the reverse order that you took it apart.
23. To replace the plastic rivets from step #5, you can source those exact rivets online, but you will also need the tool to install them. Or you can go online or to your local auto parts store and find these plastic retainers.

24. Using a long Philips head screwdriver, adjust the low beam height by rotating this bolt. Rotating the screwdriver clockwise will move the light beam up and counterclockwise will move the light beam down.
