Dodge Charger Multicolor NOVA-Series Prismatic LED Tail Lights (2015-2023)

Installation Tools

  • Plastic Panel Popper

  • 1/4 Ratchet Power Tool

    • Note: When using power tools, always ensure that you do not overtighten the screws.

  • Metal Panel Popper

  • 1/4 Extension

  • Socket Size Needed: 8mm

  • Star Torx Size Needed: T25

Always ensure your vehicle is parked and the ignition is turned off before working on it.

Avoid using dielectric or any kind of weather sealing grease on connectors or sockets, as this can lead to connection issues and will void the warranty.

Part I - Remove Tail Lights

Remove the Center Piece

  1. Ensure your vehicle is OFF and parked.

  2. Open the rear trunk and remove the trunk deck lid cover to access the bolts securing the center piece. 

  3. Use a panel popper to disengage the push-in pins and a Phillips screwdriver to extract the two screws securing the lid cover liner. 1.jpg

  4. Remove the trunk lid cover liner and set it aside for re-installation later. 2.jpg

  5. Remove the eight 8mm bolts securing the center piece. 3.jpg

  6. Disconnect the connector for the center piece. 4.jpg

  7. Carefully lift up and pull outward on the center piece assembly to detach it from its housing. 5.jpg

Part II - Install Tail Lights

Transfer the Trunk Release Switch Wiring

  1. Before installing the new center piece, transfer the trunk release switch wiring to the new unit.

  2. Disconnect the connector by releasing the red securing pin. 7.jpg

  3. Remove the adhesive weather-stripping seal to facilitate the detachment of the wiring. 8.jpg

  4. Unscrew the two T25 screws and transfer the switch wiring to the new center piece assembly. 9.jpg

  5. Secure the assembly by installing the two T25 screws and route the wiring to the trunk release switch connector.

  6. Do NOT use dielectric grease! Ensure proper installation by securely adhering the weather stripping after completing the process. 10.jpg

Install the Center Piece

  1. Thread the center piece light connector through, then mount the center piece light assembly and secure it in place with the bolts. 11.jpg

  2. After securing all the bolts, connect the center piece light connector to the source connection for proper functionality.

  3. Do NOT use dielectric grease! 13.jpg

Remove the Outer Tail Lights

  1. Now that you’ve successfully installed the center piece, proceed to uninstall the outer tail lights from the vehicle. Start on the passenger side by removing the push-in pin situated on the side of the cargo trunk trim liner.

  2. Carefully spread open the trim liner to access the bolts for the outer tail light. 14.jpg

  3. Remove the two 8mm bolts and unplug the connector to detach the outer tail light assembly. 15.jpg

  4. Use a plastic panel popper to aid in releasing the tail light assembly from its mounting. 16.jpg

  5. Gently pull the entire assembly outward to complete the removal.

  6. Continue the removal process for the driver’s side outer tail light, and make sure to remove the trunk cargo tie-down hook before proceeding with the other steps. 17.jpg

Install the Outer Tail Lights

  1. Thread the light socket from the outside through the firewall to the inner side. 

  2. Proceed with the installation of the outer tail light by securing it to the designated mounting location. 18.jpg

  3. Connect the socket to the light connection and securely fasten the two 8mm bolts to complete the installation. 19.jpg

  4. Do NOT use dielectric grease! Follow the same steps for the other side of the outer tail light. 20.jpg

Part III - Wiring the Multicolor LEDs

Wiring the Blueghozt Multicolor LED Controller

Step 1: Before you start wiring you will need to use a power probe or circuit finder tool to find the vehicles following wires on the vehicle’s taillight harness in order to get the multicolor LEDs to operate with the OEM functions: (optional)

  • find turn sign hot left (optional)
  • find turn signal hot right (optional)
  • find brake lights (optional)
  • find reverse lights (optional)

Step 2: Connect the Blueghozt wires to the vehicle tail light harness using the following guide

Blueghozt outputs (functions)

Outputs will need to be wired to vehicle taillight harness.
You may need a circuit tester to identify the hot wire on each taillight harness.
Wires can tap into using the included wire splices
