🧰 Tools You’ll Need:

  • 🔧 Basic hand tool set – for removing bumper and headlights

  • ♨️ Oven or heat gun – for baking open headlights

  • 🌀 Rotary tool (Dremel) or oscillating tool – for cutting open headlights

  • 🪛 Flathead screwdriver – to help pry open headlight housings during disassembly

  • 🧴 Butyl headlight sealant – recommended for proper resealing

  • 🧷 Zip ties or adhesive pads – for wire management

  • 🔌 Wire glands – recommended for clean, weather-sealed wire exits

✅ Step 1: Test Your Product

Before installation, test your DRL kit to confirm all LEDs are functioning and you understand the wiring process.

  • Use the included wiring guide or view our Flow Series Wiring Guide for reference.

  • This helps catch any factory defects before disassembly.

🛠️ Step 2: Remove the Bumper

Gain access to the headlights by removing the front bumper.

 

🔓 Step 3: Open the Headlights

Choose one of the following methods: this headlight features permaseal sealant but can be opened by baking and prying in rounds of 2-3. 

  • Baking method (recommended if your handy)

  • Cutting method (recommended for beginners)

  • Our recommendation: try the baking method first and if unable to open then cut.

💡 Take your time—improper opening can damage the housing or lens.

💡 Step 4: Install the DRL Kit

  • Mount the Flow Series DRL boards into your headlight housings.

  • Align them with OEM light pipe locations or desired layout.

  • Secure in place using thermal adhesive or screws, if needed.

OEM DRL Connector Note — 2015+ Dodge Charger

  • After installing the Flow Series DRL boards, the factory OEM DRL boards are no longer used.

  • The three factory DRL connectors can remain unplugged. They do not need to be reconnected to the OEM boards.

  • Secure the unused connectors inside the headlight so they cannot move around, contact moisture, or interfere with the new wiring or internal components. Do not cut or remove the factory connectors in case the headlights ever need to be returned to the original configuration.

🧴 Step 5: Reseal the Headlights

  • Clean the channels and apply butyl or OEM-style sealant.

  • Use even heat to reseal if you baked the headlights.

⚡ Step 6: Final Wiring

If you haven’t already:

  • Connect your DRL boards to your Bluetooth controller and power source.

  • Reference your included wiring diagram 

  • or wire the turn signal portion using the video below
